Submissions

DB Publishing is always looking for new authors in all our areas of publishing.  Few of our authors are professional writers: most simply enjoy writing on their chosen subjects in their spare time.  If you have an idea, or a finished manuscript, that you would like us to consider, then please feel free to approach us with a written proposal at the address below, or send your submissions by email - laura.smith@dbpublishing.co.uk

If you feel your idea is one in which we will be interested, it is best just to send a covering letter and a synopsis (an outline of what the book contains) to start with. It is helpful to include an estimate of the total number of words the book will run to, and to tell us whether there are any illustrations avilable.

DB Publishing is a commercial publisher.  We bear the costs of the editorial work, design, printing and marketing of our books, and pay royalties to authors based on sales.

We are always keen to hear from councils, libraries, archives, local newspapers, local history groups, football clubs and other organisations interested in producing books in their local area.
