Nottingham from the Air

Nottingham is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in western Europe. Renown as much for its historical landmarks as for its sporting excellence – its trendy social culture is as stunning as its architecture.
Ian Bracegirdle has spent many months flying over and photographing this beautiful city and has amassed some of the most stunning snap shots ever taken of the East Midlands’ largest conurbation.
The accompanying text has been provided by his brother Dave, the broadcaster and journalist who has followed and written about Nottinghamshire sport for many years.
Together they have created Nottingham From the Air – a delightful portfolio that will appeal to anyone who has ever spent time in this magnificent city.

About the Author

IAN BRACEGIRDLE
A professional photographer, Ian began flying in 1991. Nine years later he decided to combine his two interests and turn them into a business. Since then he has been commissioned to take aerial photographs all over the world, working extensively in Australia, Dubai and Iceland, as well as mainland Europe and the United Kingdom. He is a regular contributor to most of the leading outdoor and lifestyle magazines, as well as having work featured in the 2007 best-selling BBC book Coast.
His work is promoted through his website: www.aerialphotography.org.uk

DAVE BRACEGIRDLE
Dave is better known as a sports broadcaster and journalist, well known for his work on Sky Sports’ Soccer Specials. He has written three previous books for Breedon, The Legends of Mansfield Town (with Steve Hartshorn), The Legends of Notts County and The Legends of Nottingham Forest. Like his brother, he is Nottinghamshire born and bred and believes there is nothing in the world of sport to compare with Trent Bridge on a warm sunny day.
