Over the years Greenock Morton football club has had its highs and lows. Periodically gracing Scotland’s Premier Division, the club is famous as a warm and friendly club that has produced such talents as Joe Jordan and David Hopkin.

In 1997 the club was bought by a new owner and came to the brink of extinction before being rescued by Douglas Rae, who has presided over a regeneration that has seen the club move up rapidly from the third division to the second, and challenge for promotion to the first division the very next season.

In this new book about the men who have been the pride of Cappielow Park over the years, Graeme Ross has brought together the results of countless interviews with the players themselves, their friends and relatives, and fans, to recount the careers of 10 Morton stalwarts and their contributions to their proud club’s history.
