About the Author
300 pages of the graphic novel, Road to Perdition over a four year period, a labour of love that led to the faithful screen adaptation by Sam Mendes and starring Tom Hanks.
Rayner's previous credits for DC Comics included work on Hellblazer, Batman, Swamp Thing and LEGION. For Marvel he illustrated Doctor Who, X-Men and Captain America among others.
He is currently writing and illustrating an Unseen History of Middlesbrough Football Club for Breedon Books featuring the club for which he is also Artist in Residence and who he has supported from being an embryo. Just like his father and grandfather (who lived right outside Ayresome Park) before him.
