Being Derbyshire born and bred, I knew of the rivalry between the two midland cities of Derby and Nottingham but had never witnessed it first hand until I embarked on my book signings for Chilling Derbyshire.

Every time I took to my seat with my pen poised, to sign my scribble of a name on a copy of my latest book, somebody in the queue would start talking about Nottinghamshire and the fact that they had more ghosts than Derby and that they could certainly give the 'ghost capital' of England a run for it’s money with as much gusto as Robin Hood in his green tights!
