Bygone Guernsey
This collection of old photographs gives a portrait of life in Guernsey from the last decade of the 19th Century up to the start of the First World War.
The pictures are taken from a large collection built up by F.S. Guerin, a printer and publisher about whom little is known.
Most of the collection is now owned by the Guernsey Evening Press, the daily newspaper which has served the island since 1897. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of a rather special place.
